December 15th at high noon head on out for the ADC holiday event. Laura Miller will be hosting the event and here are some of the details. It will be a pot luck, so be sure to bring good food. If you want to know what to bring you could follow this breakdown: Last names beginning with A-J bring a main dish, K-Q bring a side dish and R-Z bring a desert. Otherwise...just bring whatever you want to! I don't mind if everyone brings deserts!

Optional: Bring a handmade ornament to exchange. Make sure it is wrapped and keep the cost under $10 worth of materials.

When: Saturday, December 15th - 12:00 noon
Where: Location: 1226 W Monte Ave in Mesa

Now get making those ornaments!

What Southern Chapter has been up to: Niobium Workshop with Bill Seeley

"Thanks, Bill Seeley for sharing your knowledge and delivering a class that was nothing short of terrific.
The two days I spent learning about Niobium and watching it change color through voltage adjustments was really neat stuff. I look forward to using the techniques in projects to come."

November Meeting: Fabulous Felting Demonstration

Nick DeFord and Mindy Sue Meyers demonstrated the process of Felting. They showed the steps involved from getting wool from sheep through to cleaning it and making it into roving and then using the fibers to make the felt. We all enjoyed seeing the process and discussing the why's and how's.

SNAG is looking for three volunteers

SNAG is looking for three volunteers to fill the role of booth coordinators at the AGTA Tucson Gem Show February 6-11, 2008.

The coordinators are responsible for setting up the booth for the show opening Wednesday morning and closing it down on Monday afternoon. The coordinators will also need to create a shift schedule for the booth volunteers and check in each day to be sure everything at the booth is running smoothly. They need to give instructions to all the volunteers so each person knows what to do in the booth (help will be provided in putting together that information). They also handle the daily money from membership sign-ups and new Metalsmith subscribers and send it to the SNAG office at the end of the show.

If you are attending the AGTA Tucson Gem Show and would like to help us promote SNAG to show visitors, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Michelle Pajak-Reynolds, info@michellepajak.com or 330.677.4092 by December 10, 2007
